Passionflower works

Passionflower has been used for centuries as a way to calm the mind without causing you to become tired. This was one of the last natural remedies I tried because for some reason I just kept overlooking it and going onto the next thing that sounded like a good method to miss. Needless to say- I wish I had tried this remedy much earlier because of all the natural anxiety remedies I have tried; this was by far one of the most effective.

Passionflower comes in the form of tea, capsule and tincture. While I’ve tried all three, the tincture proved to be the most effective and quick acting for me. The capsules to tell you the truth- did nothing at all. I’m not sure if it was just a crappy brand, or if passionflower tends to be ineffective in its capsule form.

The tincture I bought was from a company called ‘HarbPharm’ and came in a one once bottle. The directions tell you to mix it 30-40 drops with water and sip at intervals. Yuck, there was no way I was sipping that in an interval. The taste of passionflower is even worse than the herb kava. I absolutely hated it, but found if I put 30 drops within a tiny bit of water and take it like a shot, it is definitely bearable.

Passionflower was somewhat stimulating for me, yet left me relaxed and with peace of mind. The effects were subtle, but pleasant and as I’m writing this I feel I should take a few drops in a little while to chase away the anxiety I have from the horror movie I watched not too long ago. This seemed to be effective for me during times of high anxiety as well as times when I just wanted to relax. I highly suggest passionflower for anyone to take the edge off quickly and efficiently.
